Welcome to Benihana and a dining experience unlike any other! Watch as we slice and dice, preparing a meal that will dazzle your eyes as well taste buds, whether you choose mouth-watering steak, tender chicken or succulent seafood.

Or you can visit our sushi lounge where a talented sushi chef will prepare the freshest sashimi, maki and signature sushi rolls with the same flair that made Benihana a legend in Japanese cuisine. Reservation needs improvement.

Dined on April 20, 2016

Made reservation and didn't get seated til 45 min later. I can understand having to wait 10 maybe 15 min extra, but 45min is unbelievable for reservations. Also the hostesses should take the time to think before they speak. Having worked in this field, customer service skills is of the utmost importance. I can understand being busy but knowing how to handle the situation is the key. Please really think about why you are in business. Without your customers you wouldn't have a job.

Fun dinner place

Dined on April 16, 2016

I have been to Benihana many times, but this past visit seemed to be exceptional this time! Several of us thought it was extra tasty!! My only complaint is the noise level. It is way too loud!

Please put your starter serving staff on lunches

Dined on April 14, 2016

Our chef at the table was outstanding in personality and food prep. Good thing because the friendly and cute server obviously had no idea how to give decent service from not knowing the difference between a split of sparkling wine and a full bottle (then proceeding to drop it off on the table unwrapped and unopened) to picking up empty dishes, using beverage napkins, checking periodically for new drink orders and basically just being present from time to time. Makes me think management doesn't really care since the food is so good and the business is consistent.

RESERVATION.. WHY Bother??

Dined on April 9, 2016

I used this site to make a reservation for 6:30. we got there at 6:25, told the hostess my name, she said she sees the reservation, and said there will be a 10 min wait. I figured Ok, we are a few min early. that 10 went by, and another 10 went by, and now we were 15 min PAST our reservation time, and were told it will still be a few more minutes. This was an anniversary dinner, and at this point my wife was DONE. So we left, no meal no nothing, walked right into the Keg, Sat down with drinks in hand 5 min later, ordered, had great steaks and sides, and spent my $90 there instead!!

2 Hour Dinner - With a new born

Dined on April 4, 2016

We only wanted to be there for 45 to an hour, but we sat around waiting unattended most of the time. We had a new born with us who needed to get home, but it did not speed them up. Slowest / worst benihanna ever

The tables

Dined on April 1, 2016

The tables are too small. To have to be sitting so close to a stranger that your knees are rubbing together against theirs is very awkward while your trying to eat and enjoy yourself is a big downer. The tables just need to be pulled back a little bit more and it would be perfect.

Felt Rushed

Dined on March 17, 2016

We felt very rushed. They were sweeping around us while we were still eating. They were cleaning the grill and flinging crumbs near our food. The scoop of ice cream seems to have gotten smaller. Our cook seemed inexperience and didn't talk much . Again it could go back to feel rushed as all the employees just seemed like they wanted to close up and get out.

We have been going to Benihana for 25 years and was very disappointed with the service and food. We were celebrating my husbands birthday and were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food and lack of service. After 25 years, I do not think we will go back.

This is a Benihana to AVOID!

Dined on March 16, 2016

I have eaten in nearly 15 different Benihana Restaurants over the past 35+ years. This one is at the bottom of the bunch. Save your money and when you are in California, go to the Encino location. It is one of the originals and the one in Seattle is great. We had reservations and still had to wait an additional 30 minutes. The service was slow by the two waitresses serving the table and the chef was apparently fairly new. This is the first time I have been served the appetizer shrimp at the END of the meal, instead of up front when the soup and salad is delivered. He just brushed it off as every chef has their own way of doing things. Then why is it called "appetizer shrimp" if not served up front. He way over-cooked the seafood (lobster, scallops and shrimp). It was overall a very BAD experience. We were in the restaurant well over 2 hours. Choose a different Teppan-style Japanese restaurant when in the Phoenix area. The Scottsdale Benihana is run by the same people and it isn't much better. I spoke to the manager afterward and she didn't seem to care to much about my opinion. If you have never been to a Benihana before, then you might think this one is good. But, it is far below the standards of other Benihanas.

A couple of suggestions for your resturant.

Dined on March 10, 2016

A couple of suggestions for your resturant. One, you have a bar, We don't care that you don't serve until 5:00 pm, but is there some reason for people to have to sit outside who show up early for dinner and can't wait inside waitinf area or the bar until we can be seated? This has happened many times when we go to your resturant and there is always numerous folks that end up waiting outside. Also half the help shows up and they can't get in and end up going to some door in the side or rear. Two, saw a cook with full beard cooking without netting his full beard. I think it is a health factor and he would not have cooked for us period. Sorry.

Dined on March 7, 2016

I had a table reserve at 7 and didn't get a table until 7:30. The people in the front only told us to have a seat and no update was given. I was about to leave when they called my name. We didn't get any good customer service. The jeremy the chef was really good.

Amazing Experience

Dined on March 1, 2016

This was an amazing experience! The chefs are very talented and great with children. It is a bit pricey, but if you go for your birthday and have the $30 certificate it is very worth it and an amazing deal! This is great for special occasions. Plan to be there a while. I arrived at 6:30 and we didn't leave until after 9. I loved it and I can't wait to go again next year!!!

We really like going here, but this location in the last couple years has been hit or miss. We always make reservations 9 times out of 10. It used to always be when we did have a reservation we were always seated within a few minutes of our reservation time. I'm one who likes to arrive just a bit early and I don't mind waiting a few extra minutes but lately they have you waiting up to 20 minutes over your reservation time which I find is totally unacceptable but in their books they state that's ok. Our chef that night was Kyle whom I just happened to have spotted as I was walking through and I asked if we could have him. He used to work there then left and is now back. Ask for him and you wont be disappointed. I always get the filet which is always cooked perfect and I love the taste. My only thing is they cut the pieces really big and they don't provide you with a knife so I ask to have mine cut smaller pieces. My advice is if you go here and find a chef you like, remember their name and ask for them the next time because we have gotten some bad ones.

Dined on February 26, 2016

Been to a few different teppanyaki places in the last few months, its my wife and mines new favorite thing. There are a lot of similarities between all of them but this definitely stands out in more ways. Food quality is excellent! There is a lot more show and tricks, great ambience. The amount of food is definitely worth the price!

Beni's

Dined on February 26, 2016

Have been there several times but this time the wait between being seated and starting the meal was extremely long. We were seated promptly at 6:15 but didn't finish until 8:45. The wine was good, but as with most restaurants somewhat overpriced, which I think is a "US thing" as wine is much more reasonable in European restaurants.
